Spring is close, which means things are about to get busy! Even in the current state of the world we’re living in, we’re embracing our new normal and finding new ways to safely celebrate the people and things we love. Our monthly to-do list helps us keep everything organized and prioritize our personal lives – because we all know how working from home has crept its way too far into our personal space. Here’s a look at our March list and a few tips on how we’re getting it all done this month.
March To-Do List
- Shop for Spring home decor
- Purchase Easter outfits for kids/god kids
- Schedule Spring photos
- Reserve PTO for summer and start planning a COVID friendly summer escape
- Schedule housekeeper for Spring cleaning
- Make a Reservation/purchase tickets for a local garden
Shop for Spring home decor
Homegoods is always the obvious answer for home decor for us, but we’re also loving stores like Horchow for unique finds.
Purchase Easter outfits for kids/god kids
Smocked Auctions and Beaufort Bonnet Company are currently two of our favorites for the littles. If you want to make Easter special this year, grab a personalized Easter basket. Etsy has a large variety.
Schedule Spring photos
If COVID has taught us anything it’s how important it is to capture memories. With better weather, it’s a great time to schedule Spring photos. If you don’t have a photographer you love, try a service like Shott. The booking fee is FREE and you only pay for the photos you like – it’s a win-win.
Reserve PTO for Summer
Working from home is hard, and I think we’re all at the point of burnout. Don’t let the fact that you may not be traveling stop you from taking PTO. You need and deserve the break, even if it just means your staying at home watching Netflix. If you can and are feeling up for it, try to find a socially distanced escape. We both have taken road trips and found some serene, off-the- beaten path escapes. It really does make a difference for your mental health.
Schedule housekeeper for spring cleaning
Spring means it’s time for deep cleaning. Although cleaning can be therapeutic for some, if you’re like us, you need an extra hand. Call your cleaning lady to do the work for you, and if you don’t have someone, use a service like Handy to help you find one!
Make a reservation/purchase tickets for a garden
With the weather getting warmer, it’s time to get outside again! Book tickets to a local botanical garden. The fresh air and flowers will boost your mood. Most gardens have limited space as a COVID precaution, so book tickets soon.
