Hi y’all! I’m Christin Gomes and ½ of the Common Courtesy crew. I currently reside in Atlanta, GA with my husband, Nabiyh and our puppy Reese. I’m a native Houstonian but have traveled and lived in several cities across the south. As a southern gal, etiquette and courteous practices has always been a daily consideration and passion point for me. I started my career in PR, where I learned exactly how to present and position brands in the best light, including my own. I’ve since transitioned into Marketing where I took branding a step further into equipping organizations with the tools they need to monetize their unique value propositions.

In my spare time, I love traveling the world, hosting and attending events and mentoring our next generation of leaders on career development and everyday social skills. I look forward to tackling life’s challenging issues with you (with poise and grace, of course!) Thanks for stopping by.





Hey Hey! My name is Ida Gibson and I currently reside in Buffalo, NY with my husband Pastor Corey Gibson. A native Georgia peach, I love my GA Bulldawgs, SEC Football, southern comfort food, sweet tea and God. I’m something like a Simply Southern t-shirt. A public servant and teacher at heart I’ve worked in local and state government for the past 10 years and continue to teach and conduct education policy research. 

When I’m not working, reading or talking on the phone with one of my besties, I enjoy many of the same things as my fellow sister wife Christin- traveling, hosting, cooking, SHOPPING (lots of monogram) and mentoring young women of color. Maya Angelou once said, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” We hope you enjoy our take on modern day common courtesies and if you don’t get anything else from our blog, remember people will never forget how you made them feel- so be courteous!
